Mallika Sherawat has brought back the era of ‘nagin & bean’ with her movie ‘Hisss’.... The snake crown has been passed on from different eras – from Vyjayanthimala to Reena Roy, Sridevi to Mandakini, Meenakshi Sheshadri… and currently the sizzling Sherawat…

The female snakes have been bold, beautiful and now become bindass….A sneak-peek into the snake stories of B-town….

Nagin (1954) – Vyjayanthimala had not been a snake but was part of a Nagin tribe. The movie became popular for its mesmerizing snake song “Man Dole Mera Tan Dole” – which was “twisted” and remixed as break-up song in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and currently being used by Mallika Sherawat in her ‘Hisss’ flick.

Nagin (1976) – A super hit multi-starrer which was later remade into Tamil and Telugu. Reena Roy became a sensation as a sexy nagin at that time.

Nagina (1986) – When she first stepped on the screens in nagin avatar, Sridevi garnered much attention leading filmwalas to churn out more snake films.

Nigahen (1989) – Sridevi hissed back again; this time with Sunny Deol.

Naag Nagin (1989) – A snake love story played by Rajiv Kapoor and sensual Mandakini.

Nache Naag Gali Gali (1989) – Simple belle Meenakshi Sheshadri turned into lighted-eyed nagina

Hisss (2010) – Mallika Sherawat has grabbed eyeballs with her sexy, slithering avatar… Contemporary techniques and Mallika’s boldness has surpassed the earlier versions of snake stories.
